Step into The Regent’s Park at dusk and witness London's nocturnal life awaken, from hunting bats to hidden habitats.
About this Event

As daylight fades and The Regent’s Park quietens, a hidden world begins to stir. Join us for this atmospheric walk that blends wildlife spotting with ecology, conservation and a deeper understanding of how urban parks can thrive after dark.

  • You’ll discover how the park transforms after hours and why it plays such an important role for London’s nocturnal wildlife.
  • Using bat detectors, you’ll tune into the ultrasonic calls of different bat species as they hunt overhead, learning how scientists identify bats by sound and behaviour.
  • This walk also explores the wider cast of nocturnal species that share the park and the intricate web of habitats that supports them once the sun goes down.
  • Learn how The Regent’s Park is being managed and enhanced to support wildlife at night, from planting and water features to dark corridors and shelter.
