Gather around for a special three-day event you've never seen or heard of before! "The Really Really Real Traveling Medicine Show," by Gerard Stropnicky and JoAnne Henry, premieres at 7 p.m. on March 27 and 28, and at 3 p.m. on March 29. Catch it at the Albright Center, 450 Chestnut St., Sunbury.
The interactive event combines dance, music, and visual art. It features anonymized stories shared by community members from the Susquehanna Valley over the last two years. The focus is on the theme of belonging. Participants get soup and bread with the show. They can also interact and share their own stories.
Story Circles are gatherings where 5 to 20 people share personal stories. Each participant gets three uninterrupted minutes to respond to a prompt. The practice builds empathy by creating a safe and confidential space where participants can glimpse into their neighbors' lives to better understand one another.
