The Reading Room: Bring Any Book

Bring whatever you’re reading and come spend an hour in good company at The Reading Room. A novel, poetry, nonfiction, that essay you bookmarked months ago, a zine from a market, anything goes.

If reading has felt hard lately, your attention has been pulled in a hundred directions, or you’ve been meaning to get back into the habit, this is an easy way in.

We'll settle in at Casa de Luz Village — a beautiful eco-village seated under the trees with soft fairy lights overhead. We'll read quietly together, then open up a relaxed conversation about anything the pages sparked. If you'd rather just listen, that's completely fine.

You’re also welcome to bring writing or another personal project!!

There’s something surprisingly fun about a room full of people all putting their phones away and giving their attention to the page. It makes focus feel lighter, easier, and a lot less solitary.

Note: Please arrive on time so we can begin together, and if your plans change, cancel your RSVP so someone else can grab the spot.
