The overarching theme of the Reawakening event centers on cultural renewal, spiritual resurrection, and community self-reliance within the African diaspora.Rather than just a concert or a festival, the event is designed as a form of "edutainment"—using arts and history to educate, heal, and politically mobilize the neighborhood.Core Pillars of the Event's Theme

• Sankofa Principle: Rooted in the African concept of "looking to the past to move forward," the programming connects ancient African history and civilization with modern-day struggles and achievements.
