Doors Open at 11:00 AM
Show 11.30 AM – 2:30 PM
Craig Martin is a British-born entertainer and one of Australia's most engaging live performers, renowned for his charismatic stage presence and distinctive blend of swing, pop, and jazz. A natural front man, Craig combines vocal excellence, charm, and storytelling to create polished, audience-focused theatre experiences.
He is currently touring his highly successful theatre production The Great British Songbook, a celebration of iconic British pop and rock music reimagined in Craig's signature style. The show has received strong critical acclaim and played to sold-out audiences across Queensland, New South Wales, and Western Australia. Following its success, Craig signed a recording deal with Ambition Music and released The Great British Songbook album, further cementing the production as his most popular and accomplished work to date. His ability to connect authentically with audiences, combined with high-quality musicianship and thoughtful programming, has made him a favourite with presenters and patrons alike.
Craig's musical journey began in his early teens, learning to sing, harmonise, play guitar and harmonica while immersing himself in his mum's Beatles records. Just a few years later, he was performing in pubs and clubs throughout Liverpool with his schoolmates, playing the very venues where The Beatles had once cut their teeth.
In the early 1990's, Craig discovered a passion for acting, attending night school and subsequently being cast in numerous touring rock 'n' roll theatre productions across the UK, Europe and South Africa. By the late 1990's, he was introduced to big band swing music through the recordings of Bobby Darin and Frank Sinatra. He formed his own swing band and went on to perform with some of the UK's finest big bands, including the renowned Syd Lawrence Orchestra. He is a huge Rat Pack fan!
Since establishing himself on the Queensland music scene in 2010, Craig has performed alongside many of Australia's leading artists at major events and festivals. Highlights include singing with Jessica Mauboy at Redland City's Christmas by Starlight; duetting with Darren Percival at the 2016 RedFest Festival; welcoming Emma Pask as the special guest for his Big Band Show at the Arts Centre Gold Coast; performing with Normie Rowe at Runaway Bay Carols; duetting with opera stars Mirusia and David De Vito; and appearing before crowds of more than 10,000 at Logan City Mayor's Christmas Carols alongside Mahalia Barnes and Prinnie Stevens.
In 2018, Craig was invited to present his original production The Beatles Swing at the world-famous Cavern Club in Liverpool, returning to the iconic stage where he first performed as a teenager. In October 2025, he received further international recognition when he was invited to perform The Great British Songbook aboard the BRAVO Cruise of Performing Arts.
In 2026, Craig continues to tour The Great British Songbook nationally while preparing the premiere of The Great British Songbook, Vol. II, reinforcing his reputation as a refined, entertaining, and in-demand theatre performer.
