Television shapes how we see the world… but who shapes television?
About this Event

As part of an unmissable season of events, we’re teaming up with Directors UK for a panelled conversation about the power of TV. This event accompanies Test Card, our online exhibition examining the impact people of colour have had on British television.

The Racism Will Be Televised unpacks how TV shapes how we see the world, how we understand each other, and how we define progress. But that power doesn’t just live on the screen—it lives with the people in a variety of roles within the industry.

Featuring Fatima Salaria, (Executive Chair of the Edinburgh TV Festival); Doris Ruth Eikhof (CEO & Creative Director Design Otherwise); Christiana Ebohon-Green (Director), Mobeen Azhar (British journalist, radio and television presenter, and filmmaker); chaired by Baroness Lola Young (British actress, author, crossbench peer, and Chancellor of the University of Nottingham).

Network with like-minded individuals in the sector, as we explore: the science of racism; the power and the reality of today's TV environment and what collective actions we can take to make a positive change.
