QUIGLEY HIGHLANDERS PIPES & DRUMS
● The Quigley motto is “Know Your Past, Empower Your Future”!
● The idea of having a community based pipe band was born 25 years ago around a kitchen table at the home of Millan & Fiona MacPherson, while enjoying Celtic music and refreshments.
● The band is a mainstay at the Glengarry Highland Games with performances throughout the day on Friday and playing in the evening Tattoo.
● The band has travelled twice to Scotland, and has twice played in Hawaii for the Pearl Harbour Commemoration where they were the only pipe band from Canada. They have also performed at the annual Saranac Lake Winter Carnival and the Battle of Plattsburgh Commemoration in upper New York State and opened for the Rod Stewart Concert in Montreal in 2018.
● The Quigley’s primary focus is playing for our community and they play for many local fairs, social events, at the Maxville Manor, at the Grotto, and Remembrance Day Services. The support and appreciation from our community is most gratifying for the band members.
● In 2025 the Quigley’s received a Community Service Award from the Township of North Glengarry.
● The band would like to acknowledge the ongoing support from the Alexandria Legion (Branch 423), the community, friends and family, without which, none of this would be possible.
● Under the leadership of Pipe Major Chris McPherson, Pipe Sergeant Ewen MacDonald and Lead Tip Carol MacLeod, I give you – YOUR Quigley Highlanders Pipes & Drums.

▪️Bring a lawn chair. 🫵
▪️Donations will be accepted for repairs to the monument and upkeep of the Concerts at the Grotto. 🙏
▪️In the event of inclement weather, a cancellation decision and post will be made by 4pm on the day of the concert.
