April's Quiet Space features our beloved Julie Parish accompanied by Patrick Elms. It seems fitting that this month's event coincides with ANZAC Day, when we also take time to reflect on the sacrifices of those who have gone before us in mourning and in gratitude. We hope the theme of peace will again resonate within you and spread beyond, to bring harmony and moments of tranquility to the world where we can. Lest we forget.The Quiet Space is for the community to enjoy a safe, neutral place of calm and tranquility for an hour each month. Local musicians enhance the atmosphere with ambient background music. Contributions towards keeping these events going are welcomed in a donation bowl near the entrance. Walk-in, walk-out any time - it's not a concert or a church service, just a moment to put aside the distractions of the everyday for dedicated "you-time".
This community outreach event occurs at 2pm on the last Saturday of every month except December, and is a service brought to you by Albany Uniting Church.
