Our May event features pianist and Quiet Space regular Adam James Cook. Born and raised in the area, Adam studied with Beverly Bird, Will Upson and abroad and straddles both classical and jazz music, among other talents.
The Quiet Space is for the community to enjoy a safe, neutral place of calm and tranquility for an hour each month. Local musicians enhance the atmosphere with ambient background music. Contributions towards keeping these events going are welcomed in a donation bowl near the entrance. Walk-in, walk-out any time - it's not a concert or a church service, just a moment to put aside the distractions of the everyday for dedicated "you-time".
This community outreach event occurs at 2pm on the last Saturday of every month except December, and is a service brought to you by Albany Uniting Church.
