The Queer Mystic

The Queer Mystic retreat is an invitation to breathe, listen, and give yourself space to exist wholly, in the magic all around us.
Mana Grove, Win Place Home, and A Haven for Us bring you,
THE QUEER MYSTIC
A Day of Safety, Grounding, and Support for the Queer Community
Come home to your body, come back to Earth, and find your magic in community.
The Queer Mystic retreat is a nature-based gathering created for LGBTQIA+ people seeking a safe space for connection - to themselves, to one another, to animals, and the natural world that encompasses all of us.
Rooted in embodiment, energy work, ritual, and community, this intimate retreat invites you to slow down, reconnect with your senses, explore your intuition, and experience the many ways we can care for ourselves and each other.
Think of it as Witchcraft for the soul, with resources!
We'll explore the magic in our energy through conversation and somatic work while surrounded by nature.
Whether you consider yourself spiritual, curious, witchy, skeptical, or somewhere in between - you are welcome here.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Horse Energy Work
Spend intentional time connecting with horses through guided, grounding experiences designed to encourage presence, intuition, and embodied awareness.
Horses are incredibly sensitive to energy and nonverbal communication because their hearts emit an electro magnetic field several meters out from them in what we call a coherent heart rhythm. This emf acts like an aura that stimulated our vagus nerve and synchronizes with our heartbeat, pulling us out of our humanely-wired and stressed out state, and in to a more grounded, calm, and steady one.
Through mindful interaction, you'll have the opportunity to slow down, become more aware of your body, and explore what emerges when we connect without needing words.
No horse experience is necessary.
Smudge Stick Ceremony
The act of burning herbs and plants for ceremonial and cleansing purposes is thousands of years old.
We'll make space for a grounding ritual centered around queer support, connection, and collective intention, while making our own smudge sticks.
We'll create space to release what no longer serves us, honor the people and experiences that have shaped us, and intentionally call in the kind of support, belonging, and community we want to cultivate.
Somatic Inner Work
Come curious. Come open. Come exactly as you are.
Somatic Inner Work invites you to step out of your mind and into the magic of your body. Through movement, breath, energy, and intuitive practices, we’ll explore the sensations and emotions that move through us, uncover what may be asking for our attention, and create space for release and transformation.
Come listen to your body, trust your intuition, and reconnect with the ancient wisdom already woven into you.
Community Resourcing and Mystic Market
Shop local and queer- or ally-owned goods, discover new practitioners, connect with community organizations, and support the people helping create a more connected and mystical community.
Enjoy an informational-focused conversation that invites you to ask questions, explore resources, and find direct support for queer individuals in the Los Angeles, and neighboring, areas.
Sound Bath
To end the day, and before saying goodbye, attendees will bathe in the sounds and vibrations of delicate instruments as we guide you into a deeper state of rest and grounding, surrounded by the natural sounds of the mountains around. Mini horses will wander through out the crowd, synching with each heart for a more grounding and energetic experience,
