About the bands:

The Protest, a hard rock outfit from Indiana, has spent the last few years touring all over the U.S. and Europe, including festivals such as Wonderroad Festival, Loud and Proud Festival, Alive Festival, Uprise Festival and more. The band has been direct support for From Ashes to New, Saliva, Fight the Fury, Tesla, Great White, 12 Stones, Righteous Vendetta, Decyfer Down, Disciple, Spoken, Stryper, Wolves at the Gate and many others. The Protest's drummer, Jarob Bramlett, played with Skillet on tour with Breaking Benjamin and Underoath in 2019.

The band’s latest song release was Take it Back and in 2021 their EP "Death Stare" came out, produced by Mitch Marlow (In This Moment, Starset, P.O.D.), which features "Greater," mixed by Kellen McGregor (Memphis May Fire) and co-written with Cody Quistad (Wage War).

Heal the Hurt isn’t just a band name: it’s a statement. It’s a declaration that music can still be used to heal the hurt in peoples’ lives. And for frontman Trevor Tyson, that’s much more than an abstract idea. It’s his story.
“I’ve experienced depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation,” Tyson confesses freely. “I’ve been hospitalized for mental health and severe burnout. It’s an invisible wound. Joyful music is like salt to the wound of the brokenhearted. I believe that we’re providing something that the broken-hearted can find joy in eventually — without it making light of their pain.”

They’ve released their debut album with seven songs in 2024 and their journey to share their music with the world has just begun.

The band worked with producer Patrick Shekut of Convictions for their debut songs. Together, they pieced together influences including Linkin Park, Of Mice & Men, Spiritbox, Underoath, August Burns Red, Memphis May Fire, We Came As Romans and Crown the Empire.
