The Process of Writing: Fiction Workshop

4-Week Workshop: 5:30 – 8:00pm on Fridays 4/18, 4/25, 5/2, and 5/9

Whether you're thinking of sending your work out to literary journals, querying agents, or applying to residencies, fellowships grants, or MFA programs, a workshop can catalyze your revision.

· Short stories and novel chapters (if self-explanatory) up to 6,500 words.

· I'll facilitate a safe and supportive strengths-based workshop experience.

· Due to the workshop structure, this class will run with a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 writers.

Each participant will need time outside class to read and mark up the week's stories and write a short response for each submitted story (I'll provide guidance for this).

Bio: Karolina Letunova grew up in Western Siberia. Her stories have appeared in The Cincinnati Review, AGNI, The Kenyon Review, and elsewhere. She has an MFA from the University of Michigan, where she was a 2021 Zell Postgraduate Fellow. She is the 2023 Bread Loaf-Rona Jaffe Scholar in Fiction, a 2023-2024 California Arts Council Artist Fellow, a recipient of a 2024 The de Groot Foundation Writer of Note grant and a 2025 Elizabeth George Foundation grant.
