If your handicap is 5 or higher, you’re in! Chuck Dogg created this event to bring together golfers within the same ability range, making it a true test of skill. RULES AND PROCEDURES

We’ll be playing the Silver Tees at approximately 6,400 yards under USGA rules, ensuring a fair and competitive round for everyone. Each group will govern themselves, with players holding each other accountable throughout the round. In the event of a disagreement, play two balls—one the way you believe is correct and one the way the group believes—then we’ll settle it after the round. We’ll also be playing “Desert Rules."

THE TOURNAMENT

Bring your best game because the money is on the line at the Pre Father’s Day Shootout. We’re paying out $400 for first place, $250 for second, $100 for third, and $50 for fourth, so every shot matters from the first tee to the final putt. This is a true test of skill with all players competing in a low gross format — no handicaps, no adjustments, just pure golf. With the field limited to golfers with a 5 handicap or higher, expect a competitive, high-level showdown where only the sharpest players rise to the top. In case of a tie for first place, all tied players will be in a "Chip-Off" on the practice green to determine the champion.

SKINS GAME

Add even more excitement with the optional Skins Game, played just like traditional skins—each hole is worth its own prize, and the player with the lowest score on a hole wins that “skin.” If there’s a tie, the skin carries over, building the pot and raising the stakes on the next hole. With a total pot of $600 up for grabs, every hole becomes a chance to cash in, making even a single great shot potentially worth big money.

CTP

The Closest to the Pin (CTP) contest will be in play on all four par 3s, giving everyone four chances to win. On each par 3, the player whose tee shot comes to rest closest to the hole on the green will claim that hole’s CTP prize. To qualify, your ball must be on the green from the tee—no fringe or off-green shots count. At the end of the round, the player with the closest shot on each of the four par 3s will be crowned the winner for that hole and take home the $100 prize.

ELECTRONIC SCORING

To keep everything organized and running smoothly, we’ll be using the Golf GameBook app to track both the tournament scores and the Skins Game in real time. All players are asked to download the app before the event so we can easily input scores, monitor the leaderboard, and automatically track skins as they develop throughout the round. This allows everyone to see where they stand, adds a competitive edge with live updates, and eliminates any confusion when it comes to payouts. Once you’re in the app, you’ll be added to the event, and one person per group can enter scores hole-by-hole while everyone else follows along.

HOW TO REGISTER

To secure your spot, a non-refundable $10 confirmation fee is required and will be applied toward your total entry, leaving a remaining balance of $114. Of that, $64 covers your green fee at Aguila Golf Course, with the rest going toward the tournament prize pool.Players can send the $10 via Zelle or Cash App to Chuck Dogg Entertainment at 773-419-8840, or pay through Eventbrite (please note there is a $2.46 processing fee when using Eventbrite).
