Come join us at the Northwest Family YMCA for an inspiring, free event that celebrates the influence of literacy on Black history. This event is for everyone and for every age!

Dive into the power of storytelling from local authors of today and learn about Black authors from the past who were key to shaping the future. Local authors will share their personal stories, motivations, books and merchandise. You can even enter to win free books!

Kids will also love engaging with the coloring activities, face painting, balloon artist and scavenger hunt.
