About this Event
The Power of Sports for Amputees
Join us at the historic Circle Cinema for the Tulsa premiere of The Power of Sports for Amputees, a documentary by Vanguard Award-winning producer Marci Krown. This inspiring film follows the journeys of three amputees at different stages of their athletic careers as they grow, adapt, and triumph over adversity.
The documentary features Carson, a teenager who lost his leg to cancer and is determined to return to his high school football team; James, born with an amputation, who has dedicated his life to helping other amputee athletes find purpose through sports; and Beatriz, who is training for a spot on the USA Track and Field team for the Paris Paralympics.
The evening will be hosted by Todd Huston, a world-record-holding mountaineer and amputee, with producer Marci Krown in attendance to discuss the incredible journey behind the making of this film. Don't miss this inspiring and empowering event!
