This seminar covers the gut-brain axis, highlighting how gut health and microbiome balance impact mental well-being via neural, immune, and microbial pathways. Gestalt-based strategies will be offered to support experiential, awareness-centered clinical care.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this seminar, participants will be able to:
-Describe or identify the links between the gut, gut microbiome, and the brain.
-Identify potential gaps in the client/patient’s health or nutritional choices that could support the prescribed clinical therapeutic strategies.
-Identify Gestalt strategies that can support behavior change in client/patients who may resist nutritional/lifestyle changes as part of a holistic health approach to mental health.
The Gestalt Institute of Pittsburgh is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor for continuing education for psychologists. GIP maintains responsibility for this program and its content. The Gestalt Institute of Pittsburgh has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5069. Refund Policy: Cancellations up to 36 hours prior to seminar date will receive full tuition refunded minus a $30 cancellation fee.
Cancellations within 36 hours will receive 50% of tuition cost as refund.
