Energy rates are spiking, data centers are looming and demanding unprecedented amounts of power, and federal rollbacks on renewables are threatening progress on the clean energy transition – it’s time for Illinois legislators to take action! Join Prairie Rivers Network, Faith in Place, and the Sierra Club for a postcard writing event to help push the Clean and Reliable Grid Affordability (CRGA) Act forward in the veto session. 25 O’Clock will be pouring beers and there will be free pizza from Manolo’s!

The CRGA Act will:
-- Expand our grid’s capacity with clean energy and battery storage while also upgrading transmission lines to help prevent outages
-- Save families money while reducing peak demand through an innovative virtual power plant programs, time-of-usetime-based rates, and by expanding energy efficiency programs
-- Ensure low-income families have access to rebates for energy saving measures
-- Give members of rural and municipal utilities a stronger voice on where their power comes from
