The Polk Street Cruise 2026

On Saturday, August 1, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Legendary Polk Street Cruise returns to downtown Amarillo, inviting car enthusiasts, families, and the entire community to relive the excitement of cruising historic Polk Street. This is a FREE Event. Free To Cruise. Free To Watch. And Fun for The Whole Family. Presented by the Panhandle Council of Car Clubs, the Amarillo Area Corvette Club, and Connoisseur Media, the event celebrates not only Amarillo's rich automotive heritage, but also two historic milestones: America's 250th Birthday and the 100th Anniversary of Route 66.
Thanks to the generous support of Amarillo National Bank, Street Volkswagen, Toy Box Creations, The Green Gorilla Smoke and Vape and Revolution Body Shop. Participants are reminded, that all vehicles must be street legal and burnouts are strictly Prohibited.
