The Pneuma Gnostic Intensive is a one-day retreat that gives the participant an enhanced opportunity to know or experience their soul or spirit directly. By it's very nature, Direct Experience (also called Direct Knowledge), is difficult to describe in a way that makes sense to the mind. It does not happen through the mind nor any of the five senses. It is to know or experience truth through no “via” - no process at all - “directly”. The words “experience” and “know” fall short really, as there is an implication of duality, ‘a’ knowing ‘b’. Rather, gnosis is Union.

Gnosis is to Know Truth by Being Truth.
The Known is the Knower : The Knower is the Known.

Adapted from The Enlightenment Intensive (EI) and adding Breathwork as an accelerant to the process, as in an EI, the dyad is used as the main form of practice. We contemplate a question and communicate what comes up to our listening partner. For those who have experienced an EI, the technique we will use during this event differs from the EI technique in that we alternate between contemplating who or what we are, and who or what we are not. Like pushing an old post in the ground back in forth to remove it, this alternating technique accelerates the process of clearing the mind and opening oneself up to truth or reality as it actually is, moving away from our perpetual identification with thoughts in the mind especially, but even feelings in the body - all indirect experiences with a subject and object.

While we cannot guarantee that one reaches gnosis as it is ultimately a gift from Grace, paradoxically, we can greatly increase our chances with our sincere desire and earnest effort, that the Pneuma Gnostic Intensive sets the stage for. Regardless of whether or not one reaches gnosis, this day promises to be rewarding in so many ways.

We consciously connect with others in an extraordinary way.
We get in our bodies and connect deeply with breath.While it is not therapy strictly speaking, it is highly therapeutic.
If you give your best to the process, you will leave feeling a whole lot lighter and more in love with life.

Comfortable clothing is recommended as well as indoor socks or slippers and a light sweater or shawl.
*Due to sensitivities and allergies please refrain from using strong scents.

• a yoga mat or thermarest, a blanket & small pillow (for the breathwork portion)
• water and/or tea in a closed container
