Plarn is plastic yarn that is made from plastic shopping bags. This material is used by local volunteers to make comfortable sleeping mats for those who are experiencing homelessness. Upcycling these plastic bags is a way to help our community and also reduce the amount of plastic going into landfills.
If you are interested in donating clean plastic grocery bags & cutting them, please join us to learn more about this project. We will meet the 3rd Saturday of the month unless otherwise noted. *Note: We will meet on the second Saturday of the month in October.*
