Come and enjoy the first (hopefully of many) Pirates of Penzance Sea Shanty Festival at The Wren & Raven, Market Place, Penzance, on Friday & Saturday, 9th & 10th October. (Ignore the Friday start time on the poster!) Runs from 5pm till late on Friday and 4pm till late on Saturday. Admission free, fully accessible, bar & (sea) dog-friendly.
DRESS LIKE A PIRATE! (optional!) and enjoy on Friday :
Baldrick's Plan, Wild Blue & Yonder, Rumbellion, The Meadowlarks, Blockhouse Chainers, Pilchard the Pirate and The Whippletree Ceilidh Band
and on Saturday:
Wild Blue & Yonder, Pendans, Pensans Morris, Proper Job, Sudden Squall and The Perraners.
We hope to end each session with a lively Cornish SHOUT and hope that - if everything goes well - this could be the start of a long tradition of which you can say "I was there when it all started""
