Come on out to Maryland Meadworks and dance away your Halloween calories at The Piedmonsters' special house-party style blues celebration, with special guests "The General and Stingy Brim," who will open the show, plus harmonica slinger Tom Walbank will be joining the Piedmonsters for some of the show. What a night! And all of that is on top of the tasty mead and kick-ass snacks such as Meadworks' amazing Texas Twinkees! Hope to see you!The Piedmonsters adventurously mingle their Piedmont roots with R&B, rock, country, ragtime, jazz, as well as their own compositions, creating a unique style they call CountryFunk.
Piedmont blues is a traditional musical style originating from the Piedmont region of the United States – roughly including Georgia, the Carolinas, Virginia, DC, and Maryland. It’s grounded in syncopated fingerpicking mixed with lively singing which follows the guitar's melody lines. This traditional dance music is at the core of the Piedmonsters’ sound.
