BYOB - you can get something at Buddies Market - 696 Chenery at Diamond - down the block and on the corner - or belly up to the bar pre or post-show at Glen Park Station
The pickPocket Ensemble is led by pianist Rick Corrigan, who writes all the band's material. He describes it as "World Cafe Music." The music is exceptional. You can check it out here - https://www.pickpocketensemble.com/discography.html.
The personnel is Chloe Allen - violin, Yates Brown - guitar, Rick Corrigan - piano, Kurt Ribak - bass, John Slattery - percussion.
If you've not been to Bird & Beckett before, this a place you really should check out. It's one of the best book stores in the Bay Area, an area famed for its book stores. Eric Whittington not only runs a great bookstore - lots of stuff here you can't find elsewhere - but also runs a very busy - and very good - live music program. The store is close to Glen Park BART and I often find parking surprisingly easy. It's a small venue - but that adds to its intimacy of the experience.
