The Piano Party

December is a time for catching up with friends, celebrating the year that was and making room for a little fun. Whether it’s a long-overdue get-together or an end-of-year celebration, we have the perfect excuse for a festive night out. The Piano Party is bringing a lively dose of music, laughter and nostalgia to town with an invitation to do more than sit back and watch.
Featuring virtuoso pianist Brian Cousins and entertainer Tim Maddren, the show celebrates the songs that have brought people together across generations. From the high-energy hits of the 1950s, 60s and 70s to modern favourites including “Sweet Caroline”, “Get Lucky” and “Creep”, the evening promises a soundtrack packed with familiar tunes and plenty of opportunities to join in.
The Piano Party looks back to a time before Spotify and headphones, when the piano was the centrepiece of a gathering, and knowing the words was all part of the fun. It’s not quite a concert and it’s not karaoke, but rather a shared musical experience where the audience becomes part of the performance.
With an extensive career spanning classical and contemporary music, Brian Cousins brings exceptional musicianship to the piano, while Tim Maddren’s experience across musical theatre, television and live entertainment adds plenty of personality to the mix. Guest artist and dancer Danika Clarkson will also join the festivities.
For those looking to celebrate Christmas a little early, gather friends, family or workmates for a night that offers a refreshing alternative to the usual end-of-year dinner. Expect familiar melodies, a few laughs and the kind of atmosphere that makes it easy to let your guard down and join the chorus. Come ready to join in.
