Matinee Showcase at Ellington Jazz Club | Tickets ($29/$24)
A showcase featuring celebrated pianists and emerging musicians.
Anna Sleptsova and Dr Tommy Seah will be performing with their young mentees, including Maya Portella-Schulz who featured on the ABC iview series ‘the piano’. Maya was a recent finalist in the French Prodiges series in Paris.
Victoria Park Centre for the Arts (VPCA) was donated a community piano from the ABC in 2025. In 2026, VPCA ran a mentoring series, with the support of an arts grant from Town of Victoria Park, where senior pianists shared their musical and creative experience with young and emerging musicians. This event marks the culmination of the mentoring program at Ellington Jazz Club.
