The Phone call you have Been avoiding
About this Event
Most people don’t struggle with “making calls,” they struggle with what to say once someone actually picks up.
That’s what this session fixes.
“The phone call you’ve been avoiding” is a practical, confidence-building role-play workshop where we practise the real calls that tend to cause the most stress: calling your GP, speaking to the council, contacting your child’s school, chasing a landlord, or sorting out appointments and problems you’ve been putting off.
No scripts that sound robotic. No awkward silence. No judgement. Just real-life practice in a safe space where you can say things wrong, try again, and leave sounding more natural and in control.
We’ll role-play live phone scenarios so you can:
- Stop freezing when someone answers
- Learn what to say when you don’t know what to say
- Handle fast talkers, accents, and formal replies
- Feel calmer asking questions or making complaints
- Build confidence you can actually use the next day
If you’ve ever delayed a call for days (or weeks), reheard it in your head a hundred times, or handed the phone to someone else just to avoid it, this is for you.
Because those “small calls” aren’t small when they’re sitting on your mind.
And the relief of finally being able to pick up the phone without overthinking it? That changes everything.
Spaces are limited, not because it’s exclusive, but because this only works when everyone gets to practise properly.
If you’ve been putting off “that call”… this is your sign to get comfortable making it finally.
