The Perseid Experience is an overnight immersion into one of nature's most breathtaking celestial events. Beneath the pristine dark skies near Joshua Tree National Park, we'll gather during the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower for an unforgettable night of meditation, sound, ceremonial cacao, astronomy, mythology, and the quiet wonder of watching shooting stars streak across the Milky Way.

Our evening begins at 11:30 PM, allowing everyone time to settle into the peaceful stillness of the desert beneath a sky filled with countless stars.

At midnight, you'll be guided through a deeply immersive 60-minute Sound Journey, featuring crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and other resonant instruments. As the desert grows quiet around us, the sounds will invite deep relaxation, spacious awareness, and a profound connection with the vastness of the night sky.

Following the Sound Journey, we'll gather for a warm Ceremonial Cacao, sharing this heart-opening tradition as we welcome the magic of the night together.

As the meteor shower reaches its most active hours, you'll enjoy a guided Night Sky Tour, where we'll explore the Milky Way, summer constellations, visible planets, satellites, and the science behind the Perseid Meteor Shower. Using a green laser pointer, we'll trace the pathways of the stars while watching for brilliant meteors crossing the heavens.

We'll conclude with the timeless Story of Perseus—the legendary Greek hero whose adventures inspired the name of this annual meteor shower. As the story unfolds beneath the very stars that have inspired humanity for thousands of years, you'll experience the mythology in the place it was always meant to be told: beneath an open sky filled with shooting stars.

Our guided experience concludes at approximately 2:15 AM, leaving time for those who wish to quietly relax beneath the stars and continue watching the meteor shower on their own. Guests are welcome to remain and enjoy the night sky until dawn, departing whenever they feel called.
