The People’s Poets BIPOC Open Mic Featuring: Louna Eclipse

The People's Poets is an open mic curated to amplify voices of color. Everyone is welcome, but our open mic is reserved for BIPOC poets.

The People's Poets is an open mic experience curated to amplify voices of color in the PNW. We aim to support both aspiring and established writers in our community with a platform to share their talents. We believe all writers of color deserve a safe space where their voices are not marginalized. The People's Poets is a home for creatives and community lovers to feel inspired, validated, and poetically nourished. With the alarming rate of gentrification in the PNW it is crucial for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) poets to have a place to gather and embrace one another's voice, culture, and story. The People's Poets is a safe space where everyone is welcome, but the mic is reserved exclusively for the BIPOC community. We are now hosted every second Sunday at Akadi!

Doors open at 1pm show starts around 1:30pm!

This is an all ages event. Food and drinks will be available for purchase!

Tickets will be available for purcase at door if we sell out online.
