The PENZ Big Day Out is back, and this year it has one clear job: getting you ready to deliver the new Phase 4 Physical Education curriculum for Years 9–10.
Whether you're just starting to explore the curriculum or already planning implementation, this full day of professional learning will unpack what has changed, what it means for teaching and learning, and how to bring it to life in your own context, with confidence. We'll also look at Years 7–8, and how learning across those years sets ākonga up for success in Phase 4.
What to expect
-Unpacking the new Phase 4 Physical Education curriculum (Years 9–10)
-How Years 7–8 learning connects to and prepares for Phase 4
-Practical teaching ideas and implementation strategies you can use straight away
-Interactive workshops led by experienced educators
-Time to connect with PE colleagues from across your region
Who should attend? Classroom teachers, specialists, curriculum leaders and beginning teachers. If you'll be teaching Years 7–10 Physical Education in 2027, this day is for you.
