The Pentagram String Band from Kansas City, MO, blend blistering bluegrass with punk, metal, and gothic folk into a raw, high-energy sound they call “satanic bluegrass.” Their stripped-down setup—banjo, mandolin, upright bass, washboard—delivers dark, theatrical songs about death, damnation, and the grotesque. Gipsy Rufina is the one‑man outlaw troubadour Emiliano Liberali, born in Italy and forged on the road between Europe, South America, and the USA. Since the early 2000s he’s been busking and touring relentlessly, crafting narrative-driven songs rooted in blues, folk, and raw Americana—often using hand-built cigar-box guitars or banjo alongside haunting, intimate vocals. His live solo sets are a hypnotic mix of hobo-story songwriting, gritty acoustic arpeggios, and poetic undercurrents that feel both ancient & urgent.
