Experience the vibrant, dynamic sound of one of Europe's most celebrated chamber ensembles. The Arcis Saxophone Quartet has emerged as one of the most vibrant and active classical ensembles globally. Whether on the highest pass in Ecuador, in the middle of the Saudi Arabian desert, on the cliffs in the American Atlantic, or in the sold-out Philharmonie in Munich and Berlin... the four saxophonists feel at home everywhere with their music. In conjunction with the Peggy and Yale Gordon Trust in Classical Music Fund, the Department of Music is pleased to have the Arcis Saxophone Quartet in residency from March 29 - 31.
A dynamic evening of classical music as Towson University’s Saxophone Quartets and Saxophone Choir share the stage with the internationally acclaimed Arcis Saxophone Quartet. This special side-by-side concert marks the culmination of Arcis’s guest artist residency, offering audiences an unforgettable performance that blends the precision, passion, and power of chamber music at its finest.
