Harvey Blues is an experienced guitarist and performer whose music draws on blues, jazz and roots traditions. With decades of live performance across Australia and overseas, he has built a reputation for authentic, engaging performances across a wide range of venues and festivals. His playing combines tasteful improvisation, strong groove and a deep appreciation for the traditions that shape his music. Equally at home interpreting classic jazz/blues standards or exploring original ideas, Harvey brings a relaxed stage presence and a genuine connection with both his fellow musicians and the audience, making every performance fresh, musical and enjoyable.
He will be joining his long time collaborator Paula Girvan in
this performance.
Paula Girvan is the Head of School at JMI, senior lecturer, and an acclaimed pianist and educator. Paula has performed with artists including The Drifters, Emma Pask, Vince Gardner, Sherman Irby, Kristin Berardi, and Blues Arcadia. Her outstanding musicianship, performance experience, and passion for education make her an inspiring mentor for the next generation of jazz musicians.
This is one show not to be missed.
Entry is free, no booking needed, but if you enjoy the show, feel free to tip the musicians.
