Join us for the opening night of The Path of Most Resistance, a solo exhibition of biomorphic abstraction and raw expressionism by Marcus Jageman.
These works explore resistance—not as obstacle, but as catalyst. Through layered textures, rhythmic patterns, and organic forms with a dendritic tone, Jageman invites you to a world where opposition gives shape to transformation.
This work challenges traditional standards of beauty and understanding, asking us to reconsider how we perceive the body, the self, and the seen. Each piece speaks differently to each viewer—offering a unique emotional cadence, a personal message, and a set of lingering feelings that unfold slowly, even after you’ve left.

Marcus Jageman is a contemporary American artist based in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Active since 2005, his work is defined by a fusion of biomorphic abstraction and expressionism, often channeling layered emotional, psychological, and spiritual themes through bold forms and textures. His paintings frequently explore the tension between beauty and chaos, structure and entropy, using organic shapes, layered patterns, and visceral gestures to evoke a sense of both inner conflict and transcendence.
Jageman’s artistic philosophy treats painting as a kind of devotional act—a way of metabolizing experience and channeling something larger than himself.
