About this Event
This single session hands-on class is so much more than an art party!
You'll have the opportunity to follow your curiosity as you experience the spontaneous magic of paper marbling, learning how to control fluid paints to make intricate patterns.
You’ll be walked through all the techniques you need to make mesmerizing designs in the warm harvest colors of the season: bright changing leaves against a cool brisk sky, and soul-filling tones of a family feast.
And you'll have me as your guide! I'm a professional working artist, marbling for 13 years, and ready to have you at my own studio when you come to this event.
The Paper Marbling Experience is now at a new location! Whistling Studios will be the new home to Keith Garubba Art and Workshops. I can't wait to have you join me in this brand new space.
Take the Paper Marbling Experience over and over: every class will be slightly different with seasonal colors, alternating patterns, and opportunities for you to make new discoveries on your own.
In this workshop you will:
· Create 10 marbled papers, 12” x 19”, yours to keep.
· Learn 4 (or more) cool patterns unique to marbling.
· Explore spontaneity in freestyle marble designs.
· Build on the fundamentals of marbling to create autumn leaves and other imagery.
1 Ticket to this event reserves your own marbling station, set of tools, and 10 marble-ready sheets of paper.
All art and marbling materials will be provided for you at the workshop.
BYOB if you’d like to indulge while you marble.
All materials are safe when handled properly, but let me know if you have an allergy or sensitivity.
This experience can be messy, please dress appropriately. Aprons will be provided, or wear mess-worthy clothes.
I can't wait to have you at the experience!
I'm excited to break in the new workspace at Whistling Studios, and your participation would mean so much to me.

P.S.
Love what you made? After your workshop, take advantage of Keith Garubba’s in-house finishing services:
- Free Paper Flattening Service: Over the course of a week Garubba will re-wet all papers to be flattened in a weighted “flat-pack” to work out any wrinkles or waves your paper might naturally acquire during printing.
- Framing: Garubba has years of experience as a framer, and offers an affordable and convenient framing service for your finished marbled works. Make them presentable and wall-ready in only one week by choosing a black or white trim, which will be professionally finished with acid-free mounting materials and hanging wire on the back of each piece. $45 each frame, 20% off if you order the same night as your workshop.
