One of Akron’s greatest strengths is its outdoor resources that are uniquely integrated into the city. Few mid-sized metro areas can claim a national park, a nationally recognized metro park system, a historic lock system in the heart of downtown, and a trail that connects downtown to suburban and rural communities and its neighboring larger cities to the north and south.
