The Orphan Train Movement transported thousands of children from New York City to rural communities, affecting about 250,000 children over 75 years. This presentation will cover the movement's origins, involved organizations, and the journeys of children, focusing on those who arrived in Illinois in 1884.Presentation in conjunction with Illinois Humanities Road Scholar program.
