Join music director Greg Parnell & the Orlando Jazz Orchestra Dectet as they salute America’s Swing Era with the classic tunes of Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Harry James, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Count Basie and more. With tight harmonies, thrilling solos and irresistible rhythms, this high-energy show captures the spirit and sophistication of a truly iconic musical era.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Musical director Greg Parnell is the former road manager and drummer for the Glenn Miller Orchestra. He has also performed with The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, Les Brown’s Band of Renown, Nelson Riddle Orchestra as well as many other bands. Greg takes what he has learned from performing with these groups and applies it to produce amazing musical tributes in an authentic and respectful manner. The Orlando Jazz Orchestra is made up of a collection of the best jazz musicians in Central Florida.
