The Orange Bag Event

The Orange Bag Event is a large-scale donation drive focused on encouraging community donations & raising awareness about local nonprofit needs.

Starting in 2015, the Greater Grand Forks Young Professionals first executed the Orange Bag Event, an idea thought up by Becca Cruger.

The Orange Bag Event is a donation drive where GGFYP distributes 1,000 orange garbage bags to a different affluent neighborhood in Grand Forks and East Grand Forks every year. Each orange bag has a flyer stapled to it indicating items of need from local non-profits.
