After seven years away, visual artist Oscar Chan Yik Long returns to HK to share his journey on migration, art, and personal growth!
About this Event

This will be visual artist Oscar CHAN Yik Long's first public event in Hong Kong in more than seven years. He moved to Paris in early 2019 and relocated to Helsinki in 2022. The culture shock was bigger than he could have ever imagined, and how strongly his body reacted to these changes surprised even himself. It was a long and scary, but still fruitful and rewarding learning curve. It pushed him to improve and deepen his artistic practice and constantly rethink who he truly is. During his talk, Oscar will share his recent artistic practice, as well as his experience of migration, his observations on different cultural systems and his personal journey of wellness and spiritual growth.
