Youth Russian Ballet Company (YRBC), in partnership with Roodepoort Theatre, presents THE NUTCRACKER
The Youth Russian Ballet Company, in partnership with Roodepoort Theatre, presents Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker this festive season, staged at the Main Theatre for four performances only, from 5 to 6 December 2026.
The story follows Clara's Christmas Eve journey through the battle between the Nutcracker Prince and the Mouse King to the Land of Sweets. The production is set to Tchaikovsky's original score, including the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Waltz of the Flowers.
The dancers are trained in the Vaganova method, the classical Russian ballet tradition, and this new partnership brings that training to the West Rand.
Performances: Saturday, 5 December at 12h00 and 17h00 | Sunday, 6 December at 11h00 and 15h00
Tickets are on sale now through @Webtickets or the Box Office on 011 472 1374 / 0861 670 670.
