The Nursery Spring Clean-Up will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 10 am to 12 noon at the Jordan Homestead Preserve on Bayside Road. Led by the Ellsworth Arbor Commission and Frenchman Bay Conservancy, the event offers residents a chance to support the care and growth of young trees that will one day help shape the City’s landscape.
Volunteers will assist with a variety of hands-on tasks, including repairing winter frost damage, securing tree stakes, and preparing the nursery for the growing season ahead.
No experience is needed, just a willingness to help and spend a couple of hours outdoors. All necessary tools will be provided, though volunteers are welcome to bring their favorite shovel. Participants are encouraged to wear work boots, gloves, and weather-appropriate clothing, and to bring water.
