Mr. Cameron Shriver, Senior Research Associate, Myaamia Center, Miami University, will present; “The Northwest Indian Wars, 1785-1814.”Mr. Shriver will discuss the importance of this region to American history immediately following the American Revolution. Why was this area that became Butler County so filled with violence in the 1780’s and early 1790’s. And what were the stakes for all the individuals involved; the locals, soldiers, native Americans and the pioneers heading west.
Members and non-members are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served. The business meeting starts at 7 p.m. and the program begins at approximately 7:15 p.m.
