The NHS Chamber Choir, lovingly known as “Chambies” by its members, is a tightly-knit bunch of dedicated singers who have a passion for all kinds of choral music. Repertoire can range from early chant to renaissance madrigals; from classical masses to romantic opera choruses; from western vocal jazz or musical theater to pieces from across the world. This year, the group has worked hard, putting in extra time since October to prepare for performances throughout the community at NHS, Bombyx, and even at the Heritage Festival during our trip to Williamsburg, Virginia. Now, we are excited to sing for you at the Iron Horse for one of our most anticipated nights of the year!
Northampton High School’s A Cappella group, The Northamptones, have a rich history and connection to the Pioneer Valley community that reaches back over two decades. Each year, this group of dedicated students comes together to sing a variety of pop, rock, and jazz repertoire. You may have seen them perform at First Night Northampton, The Silver Chord Bowl, or even busking on the snowy streets of Northampton this winter. While the group members change from year to year, the music-making stays at the center of the group’s passion.
