A lovely circuit over open moorland on the north side of the Cheviots from Wooler Common with some superb views. Starting from Wooler Common, we head to Wooler Common farm, then southwest along Hell path dropping down to cross the Carey burn and onto lonely Broadstruther. We climb onto Great Moor before dropping down to Commonburn House. Once onto Scaldhill we pick up the St Cuthbert’s Way path via Gains Law back to Wooler CommonDress for changeable weather and wear suitable footwear. Bring a packed lunch, snacks and a drink for the break.
Dogs are not permitted at this event.

From Newcastle take the A697 to Wooler. At Wooler take ‘Ramsey Lane’, the second road on the left, SW for 1 mile to the car park on the right
