About this Event
Danny Dorling is the 1971 Professor of Geography at Oxford University, having previously been a professor of Geography at the University of Sheffield, as well as working in Newcastle, Bristol, Leeds and New Zealand.
His work concerns issues of housing, health, employment, education, wealth and poverty, and his recent books/co-authored texts include:
- The Atlas of the Real World: Mapping the Way We Live
- Bankrupt Britain: An Atlas of Social Change
- Rule Britannia: Brexit and the End of Empire
- Finntopia: What Can We Learn from the World’s Happiest Country.
Tea and coffee will be available before the talk from 4.15 pm onward in the Dalton Building.
The Dalton Building is fully accessible and here is a hearing loop in the lecture theatre. Please note that Manchester Metropolitan University buildings are not designed for use by children. All attendees under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult throughout the venue.
