The New York Public Library's Annual College Fair
About this Event
Explore everything the Library and our partner organizations offer to help teens navigate college applications and admissions. More than 40 colleges, universities, and community-based organizations will be present to share information and resources with students and families. We will also have workshops and hands-on activities to help build your college readiness skills!
NYPL’s College Fair is free and open to all teens. For school staff or community-based organizations bringing students to the college fair, please request a ticket for each student attending so that we can get an accurate count of potential attendees.
Tickets are available in two blocks: 1) entry at 10 AM and 2) entry at 11:30 AM. Both entry times will allow you the opportunity to experience the entire fair. Each group will be able to attend the fair for an hour and a half (10AM-11:30AM or 11:30AM-1PM) to ensure we do not go beyond capacity.
Note: The College Fair is held during the school day so that schools and educators can bring teens to attend as a part of a class trip. If you are unable to attend the College Fair but want to find out more about how the Library can support you on your further education journey, we encourage you to visit nypl.org/collegeandcareers for all of our college readiness resources.
NYPL's Annual College Fair will take place in various spaces in the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building and will include an expo style tabling fair, college readiness activity stations, and two Financial Aid Overview Sessions from Understanding FAFSA.

Financial Aid Overview Presentation by Understanding FAFSA in Celeste Auditorium (10:45AM-11:30AM & 11:45AM-12:30PM)
If you have teens who are interested in learning about completing financial aid applications, we highly recommend attending this Financial Aid Overview presentation. Understanding FAFSA will be facilitating the same presentation twice. They will provide important information about financial aid and answer any individual questions that teens, parents, or educators have.
