Yaroslav Trofimov jest autorem trzech książek non-fiction oraz jednej powieści. Od 1999 roku pracuje na całym świecie jako korespondent zagraniczny The Wall Street Journal, a od 2018 roku pełni funkcję głównego korespondenta ds. spraw zagranicznych tej gazety.
Urodzony w Kijowie, na Ukrainie, był finalistą Nagrody Pulitzera w dziedzinie reportażu międzynarodowego w latach 2022 (za relacje z Afganistanu) i 2023 (za relacje z Ukrainy). W 2024 roku otrzymał nagrodę National Press Club Award za analizę polityczną. Jego najnowsza książka non-fiction, Our Enemies Will Vanish, była finalistką Orwell Prize 2024 i zdobyła Peterson Literary Prize 2024.
Powieść Trofimova, No Country for Love, oparta na historii jego rodziny w **-wiecznej Ukrainie, została przetłumaczona na pięć języków europejskich. Yaroslav ukończył studia magisterskie na Uniwersytecie Nowojorskim (NYU) i obecnie mieszka w Dubaju.

Yaroslav Trofimov is the author of three non-fiction books and one novel. Since 1999 he has worked around the world as a foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, and since 2018 he has served as the newspaper’s chief foreign-affairs correspondent.
Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, he was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in International Reporting in 2022 (for coverage from Afghanistan) and 2023 (for coverage from Ukraine). In 2024, he received the National Press Club Award for political analysis. His latest non-fiction book, Our Enemies Will Vanish, was a finalist for the Orwell Prize 2024 and won the Peterson Literary Prize 2024.
Trofimov’s novel, No Country for Love, based on the history of his family in 20th-century Ukraine, has been translated into five European languages. Yaroslav completed his master’s degree at New York University and currently lives in Dubai.
