The New Israel Fund and Congregation Sha'ar Zahav present "The Other"

Filmed before and after October 7, “The Other” focuses on the lived realities of Palestinian and Israeli peace-builders, anti-occupation activists, artists, academics, ex-fighters, bereaved parents, and others – all of them connected to NIF grantees. We witness individuals who have only known each other through hate, bloodshed, inequality, and war transcend beyond narratives and belief systems through nonviolent co-resistance, peace-building, and shared community. They teach us that unlearning deep-seated conditioning is possible, and that liberation from generational trauma, hatred, and fear—no matter how ingrained and legitimate that fear may be—is within reach.
