Welcome to The Nest
A place to exhale, connect with other moms, and remember that you don’t have to do motherhood alone.
Motherhood can be beautiful—but it can also feel overwhelming. The Nest is a welcoming weekly gathering where new moms and babies can slow down, enjoy a cup of tea, connect with others who understand this season of life, and participate in gentle movement if they wish.
Hosted by Larch House Physio & Movement, each gathering offers a relaxed mix of connection, practical conversation, and optional movement in a small, supportive setting.
Whether you’re looking for friendship, support, or simply a little time to care for yourself, we’d love to welcome you.
What to Expect
☕ Tea, coffee and light refreshments
🤱 Time to meet and connect with other local moms
🧘 Optional gentle mobility and recovery exercises
💬 Guided conversation and practical education
👶 A welcoming, baby-friendly environment
❤️ A relaxed, supportive and judgment-free atmosphere
A Comfortable Space for Real Life
We’ve prepared the space so you can simply arrive, settle in, and enjoy the morning.
We’ll have:
🍼 Bottle warmer
🤱 Nursing pillow
🧸 Baby crawling and play mat
🧘 Pilates exercise mats
🪑 Chairs and supportive pillows
🧻 Wet wipes
🚻 Washroom on site
☕ Tea, coffee and refreshments
Your baby is welcome to sleep, feed, crawl, cry, play, or be cuddled. We understand that plans and schedules can change quickly with a baby, so arriving late, leaving early, feeding, changing, and taking breaks are all completely welcome.
No Pressure to Exercise
The movement portion is always optional. You’re welcome to:
- Join the gentle mobility activities
- Sit comfortably and listen
- Feed or soothe your baby
- Take a break whenever you need
- Arrive late or leave early
There is no expectation to keep up. Our goal isn’t to give you a workout—it’s to help you reconnect with your body, enjoy good company, and feel supported.
Come as you are. Your baby doesn’t need to be “well behaved,” and neither do you.
Health and Safety
The Nest is a community gathering that may include optional gentle movement and general wellness education.
Please keep the following in mind:
- Participation in movement activities is completely voluntary.
- Participate only to the extent that feels comfortable for you.
- Stop and let the host know if you experience pain, dizziness, or discomfort.
- Information shared during the event is for general education and wellness and is not a substitute for individualized medical advice or treatment.
- Parents and caregivers remain responsible for supervising their babies and children throughout the event.
Thank you for helping us create a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for everyone.
Who Can Attend?
The Nest is designed for:
- New moms
- Moms on maternity leave
- Moms with babies under 12 months old
Registration is limited to eight moms so the gathering remains comfortable and everyone has an opportunity to connect.
When the weather allows us to expand into the green space directly across from Q Optical Studio, families are welcome to join us even if registration appears full. Please note that mats and refreshments may be limited for walk-ins.
Please Bring
- Comfortable clothing
- Indoor shoes or socks
- A water bottle, if you’d like
- Your baby and any personal essentials you may need
Everything else will be waiting for you.
