Zespół The Nervous powstał około 2009 roku dzięki wspólnej pasji do ówczesnego punka z Danii i Szwecji, a także do starych płyt z wytwórni Dangerhouse i amerykańskiego punka z początku lat 70. Wydali własnym sumptem kasetę z demo, a w 2011 roku ukazała się 7-calowa EP-ka zawierająca 4 utwory. Niektóre utwory z obu sesji zostały wydane na limitowanej kasecie przez francuską wytwórnię KFC Tapes. Zespół The Nervous koncertował w Stanach Zjednoczonych, a w 2015 roku nagrał album długogrający, po czym wyruszył w europejską trasę koncertową wraz z fińskim zespołem Kuudes Silma. Obecny skład zespołu – Johnny, Bryan, Jennie i Marc – występował lub występuje w wielu różnych undergroundowych zespołach, takich jak Crestfallen (Denver), Scott Baio Army, Negative Degree, Victim of Fire, Asbestos (Denver) oraz Weathered Statues.

The Nervous started as an idea around 2009 because of a shared love of some of the punk coming from Denmark and Sweden at the time, as well as old Dangerhouse records and early '70's US punk. A self - released demo cassette was sold locally followed by a 4 song 7" EP in 2011. Some songs from both sessions were released on a limited cassette by French label KFC Tapes. The Nervous has toured in the US and in 2015 recorded an LP, followed by a European tour with Finland's Kuudes Silma. The current lineup of Johnny, Bryan, Jennie, and Marc have been/are in a wide range of underground bands ranging from Crestfallen (Denver), Scott Baio Army, Negative Degree, Victim of Fire, Asbestos (Denver), and Weathered Statues.
